Studio Policies

Important policies regarding appointments, deposits, cancellations, and studio requirements at Raven's Ink.

Booking & Appointments

All appointments require a $100 non-refundable deposit. Deposits are collected via Venmo, Zelle, or in-person. Your appointment is not confirmed until deposit is received.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete paperwork. Late arrivals may result in shortened session time or rescheduling.

We have a 15-minute grace period; after that, appointments may be cancelled and deposits forfeited.


Cancellation Policy

We require at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule appointments.

  • 48+ hours notice: Deposit can be moved to a new appointment date (one-time courtesy)
  • Less than 48 hours notice: Deposit is forfeited
  • No-show: Deposit is forfeited and may require new deposit for rebooking

We understand emergencies happen. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel—we’ll do our best to work with you.


Deposit Policy

  • $100 deposit required for all appointments
  • Deposit is applied to your final session cost
  • Deposits are non-refundable
  • Deposits can be transferred once with 48+ hours notice
  • Deposits are non-transferable between artists

Age Requirements

You must be 18 years or older with valid government-issued photo ID:

  • Driver’s license
  • Passport
  • State ID

No exceptions. We do not tattoo minors under any circumstances, including with parental consent. This is Colorado law.


Payment Methods

We accept:

  • Cash (preferred—5% discount on sessions over $500)
  • Credit/Debit Cards
  • Venmo
  • Zelle
  • Apple Pay

Tips are appreciated but never expected. If you’d like to tip, we accept cash or the same payment methods listed above.


Health & Safety

We maintain the highest health and safety standards, exceeding Colorado Department of Health requirements:

  • All equipment is single-use or autoclave sterilized
  • We use only premium black tattoo inks
  • Rigorous hygiene protocols are followed for every client
  • Our studio is inspected and licensed by the state of Colorado

Before Your Appointment

Please notify your artist of any:

  • Medical conditions
  • Allergies
  • Medications (especially blood thinners)
  • Skin conditions in the tattoo area

Day of Your Appointment

  • You must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Do not come if you’re feeling ill
  • Eat a full meal before arriving
  • Stay hydrated
  • Get adequate sleep the night before

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated or is not in suitable condition to be tattooed safely.


Studio Conduct

Raven’s Ink is a welcoming space for all. We have zero tolerance for:

  • Harassment of any kind
  • Discriminatory behavior
  • Disrespectful conduct toward staff or other clients

We reserve the right to refuse service and remove anyone who violates these standards.


Photography & Social Media

We may photograph your tattoo for our portfolio and social media. If you prefer not to have your tattoo photographed, please let your artist know.

You’re always welcome to share photos of your work—we love being tagged!


Touch-Up Policy

We offer one free touch-up within one year of your original appointment, provided:

  • You followed proper aftercare instructions
  • The touch-up is for minor healing issues (not design changes)
  • You contact us within the one-year window
